With the dovetail being longer there isn't as sharp an angle trying to load. Im really leaning towards the tiltbed but am looking for some input from people that have them or have used them. I'm using 10 inch I beams from a mobile home tongue for the chassis, and welding 12 inch I beams on their side on top of the chassis for tracks. If (since) you can't do this yourself, perhaps you would be better off selling/trading and get the trailer that will work for you. The iron seems like it would be slick also but I could make a hinge so the dovetail would lift up giving me a flat deck.
